In Kid Icarus (the original NES version) he was insanely annoying. Not that I wasn't amused by Pit as an eggplant with legs, but when it happens 10 times in row when you were trying to accomplish something in the game, it lost some of it's charm.
I really love him as a cartoon character though, maybe because his constant bumbling as a henchman makes me feel better about all the pain and suffering he caused in game.
